Thank you!
I'm about to venture into the world of prosthetics, and I know what to use to make the piece that'll be applied (foam latex) but I was wondering what are the best products to use beforehand?

I need to make a mold of my hand, and then a good clay that I'll be using to blend together and elongate my fingers. Basically, I'm going to try to try to recreate this effect for Halloween.

latest trailer

I worked in the prosthetics and sfx department on this. it was shot in Queensland, Australia.
It looks amazing, very proud of this one :D

another thing

Here's yet another effect for that same movie. The basic Idea is that there's a lump moving down the guy's neck. It's a catheter, under the skin.

I'm still having trouble with blending the edges-- I'll work on it!

neck wound

Hey, this will be in the same movie as the tentacle baby I posted earlier. Just a little neck wound, being worn by yours truly. (An actor will wear it in the film)

Suggestions for improvement on application or makeup? We'll be doing this effect in 3 days, so nothing major can be done!

Latest project

So, a local director contacted me to make him a better version of a doll they had used for a short film they are re-shooting with a bigger budget.

Requesting some aide

So my sister's friend is doing a photoshoot, and having seen my makeup work, he wants to use me to create two specific things;

1) A Neanderthal

2) A ripped open chest, with ribs showing and a missing heart.

I'm a little nervous, I've only ever done sfx on myself and a couple friends, but does anyone have any recommendations on what I should use to create these? Resource pictures and a "how to" guide are great too.

Silicone to replace foamed latex

Hi folks, I'm running on a tight schedule, and I've never worked with foamed latex, so I don't want to risk the mess-ups that come with inexperience when working with it.

Can any of you recommend a material (i'm thinking silicone) and a brand name that I could buy for a similar price (or less) to the foam latex? I'm looking for something that will work right the first time.

Also, I need distributors and websites within the united states, preferably in the chicago illinois area, but anywhere is fine.

Thanks in advance!
